Accident w/ Injuries on I-81
















Today at 12:25 pm Company 34 along with Rescue 36-1 (West Hanover Township) were dispatched to an accident w/ injuires in the area of mile marker 72.2 on Interstate 81. Engine 34-1 went enroute with 6 followed by Utility 34. While enroute county advised that they were recieving calls of a tractor trailer off the road with possible injuries. Engine 34-1 and the Utility arrived confirmed reports that a tractor trailer was off the road with two ruptured fuel tanks spilling into a creek. The crew split up with half trying to control the hazmat situation while the other half disconnected the battery and then assisted with fluid control. We cleared the scene after about 2 hours.

34-4 Box Structure Fire
















Mon, Feb 1st, 2010 11:30:00 am -Units were dispatched to box 34-4, Springford Terrace, for a structure fire. After responding, they were updated that the police department was on the scene with a working townhouse fire with possible extension to the adjacent units. Engine 34 and Chief 34-1 arrived on scene and upgraded the box to a first alarm. Crews on the call did an exelent job of containing the fire to one unit with very little damage done to any others.

Congratulations to Cory Noell, Dave Lacher, Brian Fissel, and Mike Wolfe for earning there Engine fronts! A lot of hard work, blood, and sweat was put into earning these and some were long over due!

Icy Wether means busy day for company 34

Sun, Dec 13th, 2009 11:25:00 am -Today company 34 was dispatched on multiple calls do to the icy road conditions. One of which involved a single car over an embankment into a small stream with two occupants still in the car. Engine 34's crew along with the chief arrived on scene and stabilized the vehicle and quickly removed the two people from the car.
